BURGER INGREDIENTS (4 Servings):
-1 ½ Lbs Lean / Semi-Lean Burger (80-90% Lean)
-1 Large Egg White
-1-2 Cloves Garlic (Finely Chopped)
-1/4 Cup Portabello Mushroom (Chopped)
-1/4 Cup Sweet Onion (Finely Diced)
-2 Tbspns Wershtishire Sauce
-1 ½ Tbsp Olive Oil
-Salt / Pepper to Taste
BURGER METHOD to the MADNESS:
-In LARGE Bowl combine ALL Burger Ingredients (except Olive Oil & Salt/Pepper). THOROUGHLY mix.
-Cover, & place in fridge for 30min, allowing Flavors to co-mingle & marinate.
-Pull meat & let warm back towards room temperature for ~15-20min.
-Take 1/4 of meat mixture & form into MEAT BALL.
-GENTLY press into 1.5” thick patties & impress ½ inch dimple into patty center using thumb.
-BEFORE grilling, brush exterior of Burger Patties w/ Olive Oil & Season Liberally.
-Bring grill to high heat & ENSURE grates are HOT before GENTLY laying down the Burgers.
-Char on Side 1 ~3-5Min.
-Flip & Grill Side 2 ~4min (Medium Rare), ~6min (Medium), & ~8-10min (Medium Well).
-NOTE: Do NOT pancake-flatten your Burger while on grill grates.
-Once grilled to preference… remove from heat, & set aside for 5-7min before serving.
ONION / PORTABELLO METHOD to the MADNESS:
-Coat Lightly w/ Olive Oil & dust w/ Salt, Pepper, & Garlic Powder to taste.
-With grill still hot, place thick / seasoned cuts of Onion & Portabello across grates.
-Grill for 3min per side (6min Total), remove from heat, & Prep to lay over that Burg.
BURGER TOPPERS (KEEP IT SIMPLE!!):
-4 QUALITY Burger Buns / Rolls
-Arugula (sub lettuce / spinach)
-Thick Sliced Onion (half-inch cut & lightly grilled)
-Thick Sliced Portabello (half-inch cut & lightly grilled)
-Fresh Mozzarella (sub cheese of choice, OR if lactose in-tolerant… NO cheese, PLEASE)
NOW… CONSTRUCT YOUR MASTERPIECE & GO TO WORK!!!!
NOTE: If Burger UNDER-cooked… You can ALWAYS return to the flame. If you OVER-cook, do
yourself & guests a FAVOR… ORDER PIZZA.
NOTE2: You’re Constructing a FANTASTIC Burger… pay some respect to that cow & put it between 2 slices of something WONDERFUL (ie. Spend a couple bucks on Quality Buns/Rolls).
